For years Street Racing Made Safe has been a staple in the racing and automotive community, helping to keep racing off of our streets and highways. With a few culture shifts, followed by what felt like systematic closing of our race tracks in South Florida – SRMS shifted their need for speed to Autocross.

Landing in Homestead – namely AMR Motorplex – interest built up around the near-monthly events which eventually led to SRMS partnering with a plethora of South Florida institutions including the WRXperts, Nippon Power, VMS Racing, and last but not least, Cosmo Tires. Starting on May 7th, 2023 the successful season of tire-ripping racing capped off on Sunday, April 7th, 2024. Per usual, the event was saturated with Subaru Imprezas, Honda Civics, Bimmers, and a glut of nimble k-swapped Mazda Miata/MX-5s.

Thanks to the beautiful weather, track times were as short as the day was comfortable. Miami is known for its scorching days – but luckily a cool wind kept attitudes cool and the vibes warm. The Championship ceremony for the season’s fastest and most consistent drivers will be held on May 11th at the Cosmo Tires headquarters.
